A Free Friendship Pattern for You!

Just because! Stitch, share, gift, enjoy!

This simple pattern was inspired by a “Frog & Toad” book that my Daughter had left on the coffee table. I have always loved Frog & Toad stories, they celebrate all that is lovely and sometimes hard about being a true friend. (We love the Toot & Puddle stories by Hollie Hobby for this same reason!)

This pattern is sized to fit in a 5 or 6 inch hoop. It includes three basic hand embroidery stitches: isolated daisy stitches, french knots (or colonials, if you prefer), and a back stitch for the text. You will find illustrated directions for the daisy and french knot in the pattern sheet.
Here is a link to a simple back stitch tutorial from Sublime Stitching if you need a refresher: http://sublimestitching.com/pages/how-to-back-stitch

This pattern is a great project for any age hand stitcher. It should only take a little while to create a sweet gift for a friend!
I hope you enjoy stitching this as much as I did! I’d love to see the color ways that you create!
If you are on social media tag me @quiet_hours so I can see your work!

And as always, please respect that this was made for personal use only. PLease do not sell this image or your work from this image.
